A little while ago, Jordan and I went for a wander round the V+A Museum in London. I'd been there about 100,000 times on art trips, but never just for fun. We wanted to see the British Design exhibition, but it cost about 12 pounds, so obviously we didn't bother. It's really cool there, we both picked up some jubilee merchandise and went for lunch in Green Park afterwards.

My second attempt at double exposing film didn't go as well as the first. I still think they look good though! We got the roll developed at a budget film shop in Luton, and I think it's made the colours really washed out. I'm happy with them though, they were taken so long ago now (some were in March, I think?) that I don't even remember if we did them randomly, or if any thought was put into it.

First of all, I haven't posted anything in a while because (wait for it) I forgot my password. Sounds ridiculous, but I absolutely could not remember it and couldn't log on for ages while I reset it.
Anyway, I interviewed Best Coast this morning! It was only Beth, because she does all of their interviews, but it was a really cool opportunity. I'm a huge Best Coast fan, so it was a big deal for me. She was lovely, of course, and the interview should be published on The405 soon enough! So chuffed.

even more photos from barcelona! this was the sunniest and warmest day we had, and my scottish blood could not cope with it. we went to the beach in the morning, which was gorgeous, but we were both entirely overdressed and even ended up getting a little sunburnt. it was so weird that the beach was literally two tube stops away from the centre of the city, but it was still so pretty. then we wandered down a bit and went to port olimpic, and eyed up some of the posh boats. the beach was surprisingly empty considering the weather. we noticed that the actual residents of barcelona were walking round in coats and jackets, while i was going tights-less, which must mean that barcelona gets VERY hot in the summer. i'm glad we went when we did, or i would've burnt to a crisp.

on the first afternoon in barcelona, jordan and i went for a wander down la rambla.it's the most tourist-y street in barcelona, with loads of souvenir stalls and fab restaurants. we were staying about 40seconds away from the top of it, so we had a look around for a restaurant to eat in, and had a peruse of the mercat de la boquerie, which was a huuuuuge indoor food market. we ended up getting dinner from a little italian restaurant (authentic spanish cuisine at it's finest) and had waffles from a stall afterwards.

then we went to a cathedral in jaume. we got there a bit late in the day, so all of our photos have an annoying shadow, but it was SO lovely, and totally took us by surprise as we were wandering round. it's really cool that so many buildings in the city are so old, every time i looked down a side street there was a massive church-y looking building, lots of which had been converted into theatres or shops or something. it makes london look really
boring.
these are the first (of MANY) photos from barcelona. me and jordan went last wednesday, and got back on saturday. it was the most amazing place i've ever been.
these photos are from our first morning, and we went to park guell. it's basically this massive park on the side of a mountain on the outskirts of a city, and all of the buildings and architecture in it was designed by gaudi. we were SO lucky with the weather, and it was sunny and warm the whole time we were there. we managed to fill about 5 rolls of film, and i'm really happy with all of the photos, so i don't think i'll be posting much else for the next week or so.

the weather in london has been so horrible this week. i miss hangin' around at the beach in bournemouth SO BADLY. hopefully barcelona will satisfy my need for some fab weather (9 days!)
